Born in 1990, Shahrbanoo Sadat is one of the most distinguished filmmakers of the Afghan cinema. Wolf and Sheep was developed within Cannes Cinefondation Residency in 2010; Shahrbanoo, who was 20 years old at the time, was the youngest ever selected. The film premiered in Cannes Directors’ Fortnight 2016 and was received with rave reviews and praise. It has been travelling successfully ever since to numerous prestigious film festivals around the globe.
