Blowup

With respect to the audience, Blowup is Michelangelo Antonioni’s most successful film, based on a short story by Julio Cortázar. The topic is very attractive; it deals with the atmosphere of pop-art, drug culture and free sex and is effectively combined with the music by Herbie Hancock and Yard Birds. At the same time the film is a peculiar psychological study of the modern man with his inner insecurity and excruciating confusion.
