You must not miss this train! An ex-convict Black and his crash course on the Bible, as well as the regular show Cooking with Turnip! And also professor White’s lecture on a stranger called Cecil and the meaning of the world history. What is their point? The thing is who survives and who catches his Sunset Limited. Is it God or just a light at the end of the tunnel? Wanna bet?

Two strangers met at a train station. One of them has saved the other one’s life. Or has he? Black sees nothing black while White is not able to look on the bright side of things. Humming of a train is getting closer and thoughts are scooting with a speed of a transcontinental express. McCarthy’s black comedy about God and death asks many unexpected questions. Like, is the Bible „the bestest book of all books“? Are we able to save somebody’s life, or is God the only one who can do it? What can serve as a rescue in a difficult life situation – loving one’s neighbour or a leap under a running train? Do you know what a turnip looks like? And who is this Cecil?
