Film architect Simran loves Bollywood romantic movies so much, that her own life is starting to look like one. She has a dream job, a perfect boyfriend Raj; her idyll, however, is disrupted when she meets Jay, the assistant of a famous Bollywood films director. Despite his job, he hates these "schmaltzy films". Jay and Simran begin work on a common project and they soon forget their mutual antipathy to become friends. One day, Simran realizes she's in love with Jay, but he does not return her feelings. Will this become a "Luv Story"?
