Fair Game is the Australian contribution to this year’s major theme of strong female heroines. It is a story of a young woman running a wildlife sanctuary in the outback who is being teased and tormented by a trio of roo shooters in their truck called “The Beast” until she turns the tables on them and takes revenge. And it is a hell of a ride all the way. The boys just wanted to have a bit of the good old fashioned fun and didn’t expect to end up in a I Spit on Your Grave kind of situation. Tough luck. Quentin Tarantino calls it “an absolute classic.”
