The Irish film Goldfish Memory is Liz Gill’s debut as a screenwriter and a director. The film takes place in contemporary Dublin and follows the lives of young characters that are in search for committed relationships. Their successes and failures are looked at with distance and humour. The film got many awards as the best film at GL film festivals in Copenhagen (2003), Monte Carlo (2003) and at Outfest in Los Angeles (2003).
