Venla is a fertility counsellor for young couples looking to conceive. She’s been with her boyfriend, Antero, for over 17 years, and supported him in his Olympic ambitions, putting off her own dreams of family — until one night when the condom breaks, and Venla realizes that she wants children now. Afraid of losing her, Antero finally proposes, but the gesture is bittersweet, since he spikes her drink with an emergency contraceptive. Frustrated and hurt, Venla turns to a sympathetic co-worker, the bisexual doctor Satu.
