The story unfolds on a space station on the Moon inhabited by a lone astronaut, Sam Bell. His only company is GERTY, a talking computer. Shortly before the end of his three-year mission on the Moon, an accident reveals that the company that sent him to the Moon is concealing an extremely significant secret. The claustrophobic atmosphere of the sterile, plastic base station amidst an eerie sea of outer space harks back to sci-fi classics of the 60s and 70s.
