The uniquie style and career development of one of the most influential European comics artist, Georges Rémi aka “Ergé” can be followed in this humble, yet emotionally driven documentary.

From his early beginnings with the “boy scout” series, Rémi developed his key character, Tintin, reaching enormous success all over the world. After his peak of building his own studio, a long-time crisis came after his first divorce.

Both positives and tragic aspects of his life are mixtured in the highly concentrated documentary, which was is completely recreated from director’s brief 30-year-old interview. Winner of the Bodil Award for the Best Documentary (2003, Dánsko).

The screening is being held in cooperation with the Czech multimedia comics festival KomiksFEST.
