Vaclav is a forty-year-old village outsider still living with his mum. The whole village sees him as a local freak and often as an unmanageable youngster. Motherly approach, however, reveals his vulnerable and sensitive side. Vaclav goes from trouble to trouble. Fighting with his brother Franta over his lover Lida he ends up in prison. Will the presidential pardon help him, which has to be backed up by a citizen petition? Can the whole village forgive him something that his own brother cannot?
