The war drama Hotel Rwanda, which is based on true events talks of the genocide that happened in Rwanda. Paul Rusesabagina (Don Cheadle), a hotel manager hid over a thousand refugees away from militant groups when the massacre broke out in 1994. With the help of colonel Oliver (Nick Nolte), a character based on a Canadian captain of peace missions of UNO general Dallaire, Paul tries to protect the hotel against the revolutionary fury a waits for some interference of the ignorant world… The film won the prize of the audience at the IFF in Toronto, 2004.
