Three girls from Berlin-Kreuzberg are at the centre of this documentary. For several months, the director accompanied the teenagers through their rough and exhilarating everyday lives.

The girls have known each other since kindergarten and have many things in common. Yet concerning the development of their individual and family lives, you will soon realize that their lives couldn’t be any more different.

Pool of Princesses is a film about the desire for love and balance, and at the same time outlines a precise and realistic picture of the roots, milieu and society of the three protagonists.

The independent jury at this year’s Berlinale awarded Bettina Blümner’s film with the „Dialogue en perspective“.

The partner of the screening is Goethe Inst. Prague.
