Morning screenings

We don’t want to have to make parents with young children wait in the lobby. On the contrary! Take your babies and kids into the hall, even in the stroller. Every Tuesday morning at 10am (BIO OKO) and every Thursday morning at 10am (AERO), we will present special screenings at a reduced level of sound and lighting. This will offer a cozy atmosphere for children, but also give parents a chance to watch both film and children (for example, even in case of emergency when it is necessary to “repackage the baby”). Mothers and fathers have their children within reach, while they watch a full length film for “grown-ups”. No one will be mad at them when watching a movie if they need to take care of immediate family and educational issues.

Exclusively in Prague only in Oko, the audience can look forward every month for a new Bollywood title, proving that a cinema is not just a place for reflection and meditation. Bollywood shows are times for a joint full of fun! Dancing, singing, smells, shouting, breaks, meals and other elements that one would normally think of as distracting.

The Bollywood Film Festival (www.bollywood.cz) is the partner for the year-long program at Bio Oko.

Film Jukebox night, when the audience chooses which movie will be shown! Forget the Jukebox as a machine for playing music, to listen or dance to. Now we have a Film Jukebox! It works like this: every month at the website, www.filmjukebox.cz, you will find listing for the selected day and time. Viewers can vote for one of the offered movies. Don’t see anything you like? Then you can nominate a film yourself, which will then be listed for voting. The film with the most votes will be screened at Oko! Note: the website is in Czech, but is easy to understand!

Discounted midmorning screenings not only for the seniors.

Every saturday at 3pm

Every Saturday, from 3 to 5.30pm approximately, we offer a special active program for parents and their children. The first hour features a set of fairy tales for children.
After the movie, experienced tutors take charge of the children on the stage, where there will be a specially prepared program to enhance and extend the fairy tale films. The program includes art and drama activities, as well as games and competitions. The teachers who devise and prepare the programs are mostly students and graduates of the Department of Art Education Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague. All teachers have experience in working with children. The after film programs will last about 90 minutes. Parents can watch the program of fairy tales with their children, or have coffee in our bar, read a newspaper, use the wi-fi connection and so on.

Ve spolupráci s filmovým kanálem HBO budou pro seriálové fanoušky v pravidelných cyklech organizovány promítací seriálové maratony. Při nadcházející nové sezóně se představí sezóna předešlá a občas se dostane i na premiérové uvedení vybraných, v ČR ještě oficiálně neodvysílaných dílů. Třešničkou na dortu je fakt, že vstup na seriálové projekce je zdarma.
